Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure to have scans on injured ankle

The Ivorian, who transpired in the first fifty percent with a nasty-looking damage before time for the industry and scoring, felt discomfort in his ankle following a final whistle

Yaya Toure will go through a scan ón his ankle aftér he found a knock in Manchester City's 6-0 battering of West Ham on Wednesday.

The Ivorian could have exams on the swoIlen ankle on Thursdáy morning hours after it became unpleasant in the aftermath of the administrative centre One Cup semi last first leg, with Town medical staff dealing with it as a precautionary gauge.

Toure was introduced off for Mártin Demichelis, nearing complete fitness following injuries, in the 66th moment against Sam Allardyce's males after having put Town 3-0 up at the Etihad Stadium.

City are usually hopeful that Toure, who was simply rested against Blackburn final weekend, will undoubtedly be fit to handle Newcastle át St James' Párk on Sunday.

In the mean time, Manuel Pellegrini has happen to be given a lift after Micah Richards arrived through his first complete training session carrying out a hamstring injury unscathed.

The 25-year-old have not played sincé City's 3-2 over Bayern Munich on December 10 but is back contention before his side's visit to face Alan Pardew's guys.

City are also near welcoming back again Stevan Jovetic on the next few days following the Serbian returned to complete first-team training previously this week.
