Suarez will stay at Anfield

Anfield chairman insists the club will negotiate with Suarez who has scored 17 goals this season with a long-term contract new.

Liverpool chairman Tom Werner claimed that the new contract to ensure adalh Luis Suarez Liverpool can guarantee to play in the Champions League with contributions from suarez .

Suarez is a Uruguayan international striker , who has scored 17 goals in 11 Premier League appearances this season, has signed a new long-term deal with Liverpool on Friday .

Brendan Rodgers squad currently ranked second in Bahasa Inggeris premier league , two points behind leaders Arsenal , and Werner believes Suarez commitment shows that Liverpool is heading in the right direction for preformance playing champions league next season .

"We are very pleased that Luis wants to extend his contract , " Werner told the Liverpool Echo. " He's very happy to be in Liverpool and we are delighted that he will continue to represent the club for years to come . We are working hard to keep all our best players here . Things shows our commitment to building a team that will compete at the highest level in the Premier League and in Europe .

" We chose to do our work privately without using influence others. We have been talking with Luis and his agent for a while . Nowadays everything has been done and we are all happy . Luis happy with the contract and we are happy with it too. Luis signed contract is a big boost for everyone. Luis is a world-class talent . every time he is on the field we have a chance to win. "

Werner is also a great tribute to Rodgers as successful in persuading Suarez to stay at Anfield where Arsenal are so keen to have Luis during the summer transfer window .

" It was a challenging summer for everyone, " continued Werner . " But during that period we are confident because the lines of communication between Brendan and Luis always open . I say , Brendan did a great job to be able to communicate with Luis to remain with the club.

" Luis also felt he received an enormous amount of support from the fans and that's very important in the decision to stay . He can see that we are competitive and we are moving in the right direction and he also feels Liverpool have the potential to succeed.
